Quiz Night 30th March 2023 RESULTS
By a strange coincidence, we managed to match the number of players and meals exactly compared with last month, 88 and 91 respectively, yet we boosted the profit to over €680, which is amazing. Thanks to everyone for being so generous.
In a tight competition, Not Great Expectations pipped Trigger’s broom and The Pickles for the first three places, four points covering the first six teams. The last place went to Abba Fan, with one member from Sweden, but sadly no appropriate questions.
Sadly, Derek was not able to ask the questions, but Barbara took over the responsibility, assisted by Rachel in keeping the scores. For no apparent reason, the volume level was much higher than we are used to, but Barbara managed to control the room with aplomb. Thanks are due to Barbara and Rachel, and we wish Derek a speedy recovery.
Gary and his team provided the meals and drinks with their usual skill. We would like to address a small issue whilst dogs are welcomed. Gary has to plan ahead so we can allocate the tables to accommodate our furry pets, which, when we have a large number of attendees, can be more tricky so please, if you would like to bring your furry friend, please let us know when you reserve your spaces so this can be factored in.
