Kika needs a forever home. She is one year old, and sadly, her young life hasn’t been in a home. She is desperate for a family to call her own and has been waiting for too long, but we really don’t understand why.
She is a confident and cuddly girl who loves people. She walks so well on the leash, although she prefers to walk with another dog when put and about outside her comfort zone, and she gives the best cuddles. She is great with children too, likes attention and is very gentle. She is good with some other dogs and seems to prefer males, as she can be a little selective.
She is a medium-sized labrador mix and just a lovely girl. She came from Costa Rica but then was just dumped. We don’t know why, but she has a wonderful personality. Her only requirement is that she has a very secure outside area, as she can be an escape artist on occasion when she wants to get back to her humans or her doggy companion. For this reason, we are highly recommending that she be rehomed with a home with another dog to be a role model for her. She is not great at travelling in the car as she lacks experience and gets a little stressed, but she was alone and travels better with another dog and all her past journeys have been somewhere she views as scary. It would be different if she was travelling with her own family, where she felt safe and secure.
She has been sterilised and fully vaccinated. She has a passport, so she could travel to some countries where we have rescue backup available. You are warmly invited to meet her at the shelter between 10:00 and 15.00. No appointments are necessary during these hours.
